A small language tip

Qayerda uchrashamiz?
Ask “Where shall we meet?” Compare Soat nechada uchrashamiz? from Lesson 32, which asks about the time.

Bog'ning kirish joyida uchrashamiz.
Bog'ning means “of the park”, and kirish joyi means “entrance”. Here, -da in kirish joyida marks the meeting place.

Men soat ikkida kelaman.
Say “I’ll come at two” to state when you will arrive at the agreed place. Here, kelaman describes your plan to come.

Xo'p, men ham!
Reply “Okay, me too!” when you will come at the same time. Ham means “too” or “also”.

Try another place or time

Maktabning kirish joyida uchrashamiz.
Let’s meet at the school entrance.

Men soat uchda kelaman.
I’ll come at three.

Men ham soat uchda kelaman.
I’ll come at three too.

Your turn!

  1. Ask Qayerda uchrashamiz?
  2. Choose a place: Bog'ning kirish joyida uchrashamiz.
  3. Say when you will arrive: Men soat ikkida kelaman.
  4. Reply Xo'p, men ham! Change the place or time and swap roles.

Quick quiz

  1. How do you ask “Where shall we meet?”
  2. What does kirish joyi mean?
  3. How do you say “me too”?
Check your answers
  1. Qayerda uchrashamiz?
  2. Entrance.
  3. Men ham.

Family & Culture Note

Draw an imaginary park with two entrances. Point to the same entrance as your family member and agree on a meeting place. Check which entrance the phrase “the park entrance” refers to on your map.

Add a time from Lesson 32 and take turns saying the place and time. For a real meeting, clarify which entrance you mean in a shared language. Checking that you both have the same place in mind is part of the conversation.
